Our Community Involvement

If you haven’t heard, Pile of Puppies is a local non profit organization that brings chronically and terminally ill children and their families joy and happiness by surrounding them with a Pile of Puppies. Our pugs have participated in this truly amazing experience and we are proud to work with them. Check out the story below to see what incredible healing pug puppies (especially Anza puppies) can bring.

Pile of Puppies is exceptional in their screening of families and breeders that are allowed to participate in the program. We were vetted, personally visited, and are proud to meet the level of expectations Pile of Puppies requires in order to provide the true joy and happiness of families and children in need.

“We use breeders because we are working with a sensitive population who have health risks and lower immune systems. We must know where the puppies have come from and know that the puppies are also healthy. It is important to POP that we site visit responsible breeders to verify they living conditions of the pups.”

The founder of POP wants to spread this joy NATIONWIDE; and that takes time and commitment. Donations are welcome to keep this program cost free to the families and children that receive it.

Meet The Breed

We have participated in Meet the Breed events at dog shows and even County Fairs. This is an excellent way for families to meet and interreact with purebred dogs. Pugs are always a hit and love all the attention. Check and see if your local dog show is hosting a “Meet the Breed Event”!

Pacific Pug Rescue offers yearly events and a pug parade for fundraising and awareness for pugs. We love participating and bringing our pugs. The events are usually held in the summer, if you are local to the PDX area definitely come join us!
